Youth Summer Theater Camp

In 2017, Independence Community Theater was happy to start up its new Youth Summer Theater Camp. We hope you'll agree that theater is a great opportunity for kids to make friends and grow both as a person and an artist. Everyone within the age range is welcome, if theater is something you or your kids have thought about, then what are you waiting for? Summer's just around the corner, so get ready for ICT's Youth Summer Theater Camp.

Willy Wonka Kids

The delicious adventures experienced by Charlie Bucket on his visit to Willy Wonka's mysterious chocolate factory light up the stage in this captivating adaptation of Roald Dahl's fantastical tale. Featuring the enchanting songs from the 1971 film starring Gene Wilder, in addition to a host of fun new songs, Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka KIDS is a scrumdidilyumptious musical guaranteed to delight everyone's sweet tooth.

Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka KIDS follows enigmatic candy manufacturer Willy Wonka as he stages a contest by hiding golden tickets in five of his scrumptious candy bars. Whomever comes up with these tickets will win a free tour of the Wonka factory, as well as a lifetime supply of candy. Four of the five winning children are insufferable brats, but the fifth is a likeable young lad named Charlie Bucket, who takes the tour in the company of his equally amiable grandfather. The children must learn to follow Mr. Wonka's rules in the factory – or suffer the consequences.

Enrollment for Willy Wonka Kids will begin March 1, 2019.

Camp begins Monday, June 10th

• Grades 5 and up: Mondays – Thursdays from 9:30-11:30am
• Grades PK-4: Mondays – Thursdays from 2:00-4:00pm
• At ICT - The Old Town Hall - 6652 Brecksville Rd. Independence, 44131
• Production dates: Friday June 28, Saturday June 29, and Sunday June 30.
• Tickets are $5.00
• Registration is limited, so please register early! Grades listed above are for the 2019-2020 school year.
• Tuition is $115. This includes a show t-shirt. Please make checks payable to Independence Community Theater.
